Control parameters of our model

Besides the state variables, the concentration of a single COC distributed throughout the spatial substrate of the model, our model has control parameters:

1. the volume of sea water in the tidal bolus (varies with the tidal dynamics, that is, the height function of tide as a function of time),
2. the initial concentration of the COC in the bolus, after mixing with the reservoir,
3. the measure (mass, of surface area, or concentration) of significant bacteria and nutrients (principally oxygen) in the upper (root) layer,
4. the rate of drainage of water our of the salt marsh into the bay.
